The Phantom of the Opera
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s long-running gothic romance, The Phantom of the Opera, is widely considered one of the most successful musicals of all time, with over 130 million tickets sold worldwide.
Based on the French Novel of the same name, the story tells us about a gorgeous ballet dancer and her singing and dancing teacher who is a mysterious disfigured musical genius living in the subterranean labyrinth beneath the Paris Opera House. Obsessed with his pupil the Phantom haunts the Opera House intending to make her play a role in the a new opera which he has written exclusively for her. However, a handsome young man also in love with the ballet dancer leads to onstage chaos that literally damages the opera house.
