As the nights get longer, get ready for all sorts of creepy scares, shocks and thrills as Alton Towers Resort celebrates the return of award-winning Scarefest.
On October’s spookiest dates, prepare for spines to be tingled, from the frantically funny and seriously spooky themed attractions for all ages, including two brand-new scare experiences for the bravest of souls.
Open until 9pm, daring guests can face head-spinning, hair-raising rides and attractions in the darkness including Wicker Man and the all-new Toxicator. If that’s not scary enough, brace yourselves for the return of the multi-award winning, terrifying scare attractions.

Looking for Halloween things to do with kids? Join super-freaky Halloween friends in their memorific multi-coloured playground. Enjoy spooktacular shows, meet and greets, photo opportunities and more!
In addition, families will be able to enjoy the return of Amigos in the Afterlife and Trick O’ Treat Town where every day is Halloween and the townsfolk favourite pastime is trick-or-treating for the town’s visitors. Knock on the doors to collect lots of sweet treats and other spooky surprises but be careful as there will be tricks aplenty.
With rides open until late, experience some of your favourite CBeebies Land and family attractions when the sky gets a little darker – the ultimate Halloween event for kids and families to enjoy.
Scare Mazes for the Bravest of Souls
COMPOUND: Step into a world where you’re the subject of a sinister sci-fi experiment. Scientists are attempting to weaponise your DNA… but things are far from what they seem. Navigate the disorienting chambers and shadowy hallways of the compound’s lab — and try to escape before it’s too late.
ALTONVILLE MINE TOURS: Rumours are afoot that the old Altonville Mines are alive with activity once again. Following a breakthrough from local law enforcers, the notorious Skin Snatchers have been detained… but for how long?
NEW for 2025 – EDGE OF THE FOREST: Whispers wind through the withered woods at the edge of the Dark Forest, where a forgotten cottage stands as the last remnant of a forgotten time. Locals speak of the Leshwall, a lurking presence that twists the trees and plays tricks on the mind.

NEW for 2025 – DARK HOLLOW: The forest breathes, its ancient roots stirring restless and shadows flicker between hollow trees. Dark Hollow is a free-flowing outdoor scare zone where a chilling presence watches, waiting to draw you deeper into the darkness. Can you escape the forest’s grasp before it claims you too?
