Tourism: Represents an important source of revenue for the Spanish people. With over 44 million visitors a year coming to Spain and it's Mediterranean islands it is now one of the leading tourist destinations.

Beaches - The main reason for visiting Menorca is for a relaxing beach holiday. The coastline is rugged with rocky coves where you can sunbathe in complete isolation interspersed by amazing wide sandy beaches around which the holiday resorts have been built.
Scenery - Menorca is greener and more lush than either Mallorca or Ibiza. Admiral Nelson once stayed on the island and it still retains evidence of its history. Mahon the capital has a mixture of local and colonial architecture and has one of the deepest natural harbours in Europe. Pavement cafes and restaurants open along the waterfront in the evening which gives the port a very lively atmosphere. Step back in time in Ciudadela , the old capital, which has a medieval centre with narrow streets ready for exploration.
Nightlife: Most resorts have a good choice of restaurants and bars with Mahon being particularly lively.
